The flag is now exempt from planning regulations and charges which apply to many other flags. You can now fly your Yorkshire Flag without the need to apply for permission.

The flag was then be carried to York by a group of walkers. It arrived at York on Friday 1st August to take part in the Yorkshire Day celebrations.
